Questions from Weber reading, (Read chapters 1 & 2). You may skip pp. 25 – 32.

1) For Weber, what are the main differences between Catholics and Protestants? I.e. why did Catholics did not embrace the ‘modern’ capitalism as much as Protestants did?

2) According to Weber, what is the Sprit of Capitalism? (The answer is distributed to the whole 2nd chapter.) In other words, what are the main properties of ‘modern’ capitalism? Elaborate your answer!!
